Level-Based Dorms and Housing
On-Campus dorms and housing are available to San Francisco State University students of all levels. Freshman generally reside in co-op like quarters where students share a single shower-room and bathroom with the entire floor. Rooms are very small, narrow, and typically shared with one roommate. A single kitchen is available to the whole building and laundry machines are located in another building. Sophomores living on campus tend to live in a tall, several-story building where students typically share an apartment-like complex between 3-4 roomates. A personal kitchen and wide commons room space is provided. Upperclassmen juniors and seniors will live closest within campus in a “Village” (that’s what it is called) area with convenient laundry facilities and vending machines.
