How are his grades? He can get into any community college, as the other poster said. And a cc can be a great place to start. But if he wants a full, four year college/university, he'll be able to get into some of those as well. There actually are a lot of four year colleges and universities out there that accept students with ACTs in your brother's range. So if he doesn't want community college, he can check into the schools I'll list, below, which may be a good fit for him: - Dean College (MA) - Castleton State College (VT) - Cleveland State U (OH) - Mercy College (NY) - Merrimack College (MA) - may be a reach, but if his GPA is decent, it could make up for his slightly low ACT - Curry College (MA) - Western New England College (MA) - again, a bit of a reach re: ACT, but a decent GPA would help - Hilbert College (NY) - D'Youville College (NY) - tiny bit of a reach re: ACT - Dowling College (NY) - Medaille College (NY) - Eastern Nazarene College (MA) - Fort Lewis College (CO) - tiny bit of a reach re: ACT - Adams State College (CO) - Indiana State U (IN) - Eastern Michigan U (MI) - tiny bit of a reach - Southern New Hampshire University (NH) - Johnson & Wales U (RI) - Saint Thomas Aquinas College (NY) - Lees-McRae College (NC) - Dowling College (NY) - Limestone College (SC) - Newberry College (SC) - Virginia Intermont College (VA) - Wesley College (DE) This is just a sampling, and you can see this is no short list. With an ACT of 17, he should have quite a few colleges to pick from. If his GPA is decent, he could get into most of these! If it's just so-so, he'll have to check into each one, but still, he'll get into a good percentage of the above. No, his ACT isn't great - but it's good enough to get into a reputable school, like those above, if he wants to.

Question: May someone list some reputable TRADITIONAL Universities that offer an Associates Degree in Business online?

Please list ONLY good schools and no for-profit schools.

You won't find many universities that offer an associates degree - most associates degrees are awarded by community colleges. "good" is relative and depends on who you ask. * UMass - http://www.umassonline.net/ (bachelor's and higher but has an associates in IT) * Half the community colleges in Florida - http://www.distancelearn.org/degreeOptions.cfm * Cerro Coso College (California) http://cconline.cerrocoso.edu/programs/ [known to be a great price deal] * Metropolitan Community College - http://www.mccneb.edu/onlinedegrees/ [also known to be a great price deal] * Adams State College - http://www.adams.edu/extended_studies/degrees/associates/associates.php [I just like the similarity to reference in Revenge of the Nerds] * UC Berkeley Extension - http://extension.berkeley.edu/online/ [not an associates degree but looks really good on a resume and you WILL learn from them - or fail out trying.] Honestly, in this day-and-age, everyone and his brother teaches online. Your local community college probably teaches online too. If they don't, one in your state does. Business is the leading subject of online programs so your choices should be huge. USNews has a pretty good portal for online education searches at http://www.usnews.com/sections/education/online-education/index.html -- just be careful of all of the "as seen on TV" college ads. And, while a bachelor's degree is usually (but not always) better than an associates degree - an associates degree is better than no degree at all.

Community colleges are your best place. Many will take you in as a non-degree seeking student. If you do this right, you can even take some classes that you will be able to transfer into your degree program. Also, you can probably take some courses through an independent study program. Louisiana State University has these types of courses. Check with your academic advisor to make sure they are O.K. first though. If you do this right, some of these may also apply towards your degree program. LSU charges $229 for a three-semester hour course. http://is.lsu.edu The independent study courses aren't easy A's, so really apply yourself and concentrate on the courses. Also, they are open enrollment, so once you get approval, you can start one immediately. Good luck Edit: Yes, extension programs and independent study programs from some schools do NOT require formal admittance in order to take courses. Independent study at LSU is one of those. It is also one of the cheapest. Here are some more. Indiana University - http://scs.indiana.edu/ Adams State College - http://www2.adams.edu/extended_studies/independent/independent_study-undergraduate/independent_study-undergraduate.php Oklahoma State University - http://uedb2.ue.okstate.edu/ics/colcred.asp University of Idaho - http://www.uidaho.edu/isi/ Mississippi State University - http://www.is.msstate.edu/College/Online.html University of Kentucky - http://www.uky.edu/ISP/ Good luck
